Dr. Mengine, Medical Director
Dr. Tam Mengine joined the Stoney Creek family in 2017, and serves as the hospital's Medical Director. She received her DVM degree from the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, and then completed a one-year rotating internship at Texas A&M University. Following her internship, she moved to Philadelphia, where she has worked in both emergency & general practice. In 2014 she became one of the few vets in the area to have achieved board-certification in canine & feline practice from the ABVP.
Dr. Mengine's special interests include all aspects of internal medicine, ultrasonography, geriatric & hospice care, cardiology, and exotic animal medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Mengine is active in Pals for Life, a local pet therapy organization. Her hobbies include gardening, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Along with her human family, Dr. Mengine shares her home with five canine companions of all different shapes and sizes, as well as Emma the parrot, Pirahana the Budgie, and The Slowskis (a pair of Eastern box turtles).
